Athanas Jamo


With 15+ years across research, insights, and strategic marketing, Athanas currently serves as Chief Client Director at Ipsos MENA, overseeing strategic client relationships and driving business growth initiatives across the GCC and broader region. Athanas began his career in the media industry in Paris, working for renowned entities such as Canal+ and Lagardere before joining France 24. His roles encompassed sales, market intelligence and broadcast distribution prior shifting to strategic marketing and media research.

Transitioning to the dynamic landscape of the Middle East, Athanas’s passion for research and insights led him to Ipsos in 2015, where he held the role of Media Research Director in Dubai. In 2021, Athanas joined the NEOM project in Saudi Arabia, leading the Research and Insights function of the tourism sector – highlighting his dedication to innovation and strategic planning as he navigated the landscape of NEOM’s visionary initiative for shaping the future of tourism.

In late 2023, Athanas returned to Ipsos as Chief Client Director in Dubai, where he leverages his extensive media and research experience, and navigates the dynamic media landscape with a keen eye on the future. His expertise seamlessly translates into a deep understanding of OTT and streaming trends, fueling his passion for uncovering the latest media usage patterns and audience behaviors within the ultra-connected GCC/MENA region. Whether advising clients or exploring new frontiers, Athanas ensures his knowledge remains at the forefront of the ever-evolving media ecosystem.
